EADEM SOCIAL + FACIAL CLUB
Nourishment is a big theme for me this year, and skincare is one of the things I want to lean into more especially with Black-owned brands and products, not just because that's what THE GIRLS ARE doing but because melanated skin requires a different kinda love.
With that said, EADEM has always been a fave to watch throughout the years. INFULL TRANSPARENCY, I HAVEN’T HAD A CHANCE TO TRY THEIR PRODUCTS BUT I WAS INSPIRED ENOUGH TO DESIGN THIS CONCEPT, the Eadem Social + Facial club - think Soho House meets facial studio!
When initially ideating for this concept, doing a retail store was the first thing that came to mind but I decided instead on something that reflected their desire for community while also keeping top of mind that this is still a skincare brand with products.
When it came to the design, it was important to reflect Eadem's modern yet earthy and grounded nature as they highlight the important role ancestral rituals and ties play in your skin and skincare. People need to feel this when they enter the space. Also, considering the different skin tones it's audience represents was crucial. The textures and colors needed to be rich and deep and the atmosphere needed to feel warm and inviting. You'll also see different aspects of their philosophy on the walls as a constant reminder of what they stand for and the community they're cultivating. The space needed to embody all of this even down to the selection of the music chosen for the video had to wrap all this in a nice warm and cozy bow!
Yesss I did a video this time y'all!!! I stretched myself and I'm so proud of me! Not gonna lie, I still have some work to do as some of the effects I used in the images weren't translated in the video but we continue on lol.
